Day 1-2: Manila
Unpack and unwind in your new city. Take stock and get your bearings before heading out for an explore.
Take a step back in time and explore the heart of the old city. Tours around Intramuros can be organised but make sure you visit Fort Santiago, Casa Manila and San Agustin church. On your way visit Rizal Park for more of an understanding of Manila and the Philippines rich history.
Next why not visit some of the best shopping in the Philippines. Manila is home to some of the biggest shopping centres in the country and features a host of the best global brands as well as some great local offers.
Day 3-5: Boracay
Book yourself an early flight into Kalibo or Caticlan which are the two closest airports to the island. Caticlan is located closer to Boracay, however flights are often cheaper into Kalibo making it a popular choice among travellers. From the airport get to Caticlan Jetty Port for roughly a half hour boat ride across to Boracay.
First things first, head to White Beach, the crown jewel of Boracay and one of the best beaches in the world, let alone the Philippines. Explore four kilometers of white, powdery fine sand dotted with resorts, shops and restaurants.
Looking for a bit of adventure? Head to Bolabog Beach on the other side of the island where you can find one of Asia’s top kitesurfing locations thanks to strong winds and big waves.
For those who love creatures under the sea, Boracay is a great place to get your diving certification with a few dives for beginners as well as more experienced divers such as Yapak Wall.
If you like being high up, head to Ariels Point. The home of cliff diving in the Philippines and one place you definitely need to check out, there are boards set up for beginners as well as the more adventurous among your group.
Day 6-7: Manila
Spend your last days relaxing in Manila and taking in all you can. For some last minute retail therapy head to Makati, home of most of the big shopping centres or explore other areas you missed or wanted to visit on the first few days.
